Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an eight-hour training course designed to identify risk factors associated with mental health and substance use concerns. Participants develop pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies by engaging in experiential activities to build understanding of the impact of mental illness on individuals and families.

Three Ways to Learn
- In-person: Learns receive their training as an eight-hour, instructor-led, in-person course.
- Blended: Learns complete a two-hour, self-paced online course, and participate in a 4.5-5.5 hour, instructor-led training. The instructor-led training can be a video conference or an in-person class.
