MHA Monmouth Welcomes Dr. Pooja Tandon to Outpatient Services
Tinton Falls, NJ (November 26, 2024) – The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County is pleased to welcome Dr. Pooja Tandon, a board-certified psychiatrist with a geriatric psychiatry fellowship, to its Outpatient Services program. Dr. Tandon brings over eight years of experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions, with a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach tailored to individual and family needs.
“Dr. Tandon’s role will include providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and consultation to current program clients,” said Achille Dejean, Executive Director of MHA Monmouth. “Her addition aligns with the agency’s mission to prioritize prevention, early intervention, and recovery-focused mental health care.”
Adept at integrating psychology and medicine, Dr. Tandon specializes in treating conditions such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and mood-related cognitive decline. She emphasizes patient and caregiver education as a core component of her care.
“Dr. Tandon’s arrival is a significant step forward in expanding our ability to provide high-quality, integrated mental health care to our clients,” said Erin Murphy, Senior Director of Clinical Services at MHA Monmouth. “Her expertise in geriatric psychiatry and dedication to holistic treatment will be invaluable in advancing our mission of mental wellness.”
