MHA Monmouth to Host Free Community Resource Fair to Connect Residents with Mental Health Support
Tinton Falls, NJ (April 17, 2025) – The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County invites community members to attend a free Community Resource Fair as part of its Beyond the Connection training series on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Grace Christian Church, 1961 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ 07724.
Beyond the Connection is a three-part training series designed for everyday community helpers—those who naturally find themselves as listening ears in their neighborhoods and workplaces. Whether you’re a fitness instructor, hairstylist, or bartender, this series equips you with the skills to engage in meaningful conversations, provide crisis support, and connect individuals with local resources.
The final session, Connecting People to Resources – A Community Resource Fair, focuses on bridging the gap between concern and connection. Attendees will meet with representatives from local agencies, learn about available mental health and crisis services in Monmouth County, and explore how to better offer support to those in need.
“We all play a role in supporting mental wellness in our community,” said Erin Murphy, LPC, Senior Director of Clinical Services at MHA Monmouth. “This fair is about taking the next step—understanding where to turn and how to guide someone to the right support. We’re connecting compassionate individuals with real, local solutions.”
