Hudson City Savings Bank Supports the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County’s
Shrewsbury, NJ— Ms. Theresa O’Connell, First Vice President of Hudson City Savings Bank, presented a $10,000 charitable contribution from Hudson City Savings Bank to the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County (MHA). Accepting this generous donation on behalf of MHA was Thomas Schember, MHA Board of Directors President. (Please see above photo.)
“Hudson City became involved with programs sponsored by MHA in 2013 and is proud to continue that partnership in 2015,” said Theresa O’Connell. Hudson City Savings Bank’s past generosity was vital to the development of new, free programs and services at the Red Bank Resource Network (RBRN), a program of MHA. This year’s grant will support MHA’s housing services programs. These programs help adults who are diagnosed with a serious mental illness and who are at risk for homelessness. The goal of the various housing programs within MHA is to promote and sustain independence in permanent housing and to assist each resident to become fully integrated into the community in which they reside.
“MHA is extremely grateful to Hudson City Savings Bank for their ongoing support which will help us to continue to provide housing services for those with a severe and persistent mental illness. Generous corporate sponsors like Hudson City Savings Bank assist us in fulfilling our mission: promoting mental health and wellness and improving the care and treatment of persons affected by mental illness.” MHA Executive Director, Wendy DePedro stated.
